LookMeUp is a face search application that helps users find photos of themselves in event galleries. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our app.

The privacy policy for LookMeUp app is simple: no personal data shared with us will be given to any third party, under any circumstances. Your data will also never be used by us for any purpose without specific permission.

The app engages in no ad targeting, data mining, or other activities that may compromise your privacy, and we do not affiliate ourselves with any third parties that do so.

1. Information We Process

Camera Images: Photos you capture using your device camera for search purposes

Search Preferences: Your search threshold settings stored locally on your device

Event History: Event IDs you've accessed, stored locally on your device

3. Temporary Image Processing

Face Search Functionality

  • Users capture photos using device camera for event photo searching
  • Images are uploaded temporarily to our secure servers for facial comparison processing
  • No facial recognition, biometric templates, or identifying data is created or stored
  • Processing is completed within seconds, after which all user-uploaded content is immediately and irrecoverably deleted from our systems

Data Flow Process

  1. User captures photo via camera
  2. Image uploaded securely to processing server
  3. Facial features extracted for comparison (not stored)
  4. Search results returned to user
  5. User's search image and all extracted facial data permanently deleted

Key Point: LookMeUp processes user-captured photos solely for temporary face matching within event galleries. Images are captured via device camera and processed momentarily on our servers for search functionality only. All uploaded images and any extracted facial data are immediately and permanently deleted upon search completion. We do not collect, store, retain, or share facial biometric data, templates, or identifiers. No facial recognition or identification data persists beyond the active search session.

4. Data Sharing

No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your facial data or search images with any third parties under any circumstances.

Processing Purpose: Your data is processed solely for the intended search functionality.

No Commercial Use: No advertising, analytics, or commercial use of facial data occurs.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Facial Data

  • Search images: Deleted immediately after processing completion
  • Facial embeddings: Not stored beyond active search session
  • Processing data: Automatically purged upon search completion
  • Biometric data: No biometric data retention occurs under any circumstances

Local Device Data

  • Event history: Stored locally until you clear app data
  • Preferences: Stored locally until you uninstall the app
